From Jordan to Portugal: Euro Jet's Expanding Network

9. 04. 2025 News 6min

Euro Jet continues to strengthen its global network with the addition of our own local agents in Jordan and Portugal. Our commitment to excellence is supported by in-house aviation experts on the ground and our trusted partners around the globe. As our team grows, so does our capacity to provide the highest level of service worldwide.

Euro Jet’s operations in Portugal are overseen by Business Development Manager for Western Europe Libor Sollar and our new Portuguese agent David Lopes. While in Jordan, Business Development Manager for the Middle East Muhammad Asad and our new Ground Service Coordinator Shehab Al-Maaytah ensure smooth service.

Euro Jet’s COO Tomas Chobot says that Jordan and Portugal are key destinations where Euro Jet customers are already flying. “We listen to our customers,” he says. “When they inquire about agents in certain countries, we prioritize those specific locations. While we are already well-established in Eastern Europe, we are continually exploring opportunities to expand our presence in new markets.”

“Our agents are hand-picked, local aviation experts, who know the industry inside and out. We are always seeking dedicated individuals who are committed to serving our customers and their flights.”

Jordan: A Strategic Hub in the Middle East

Situated at the crossroads of Europe, Africa, and Asia, Jordan is a hub for international travel. The country’s famous hospitality guarantees high quality service for VIP flights, and its geo-political significance strengthens its role in military, government, and diplomatic operations. The country is also a key player in medical evacuation flights, thanks to its state-of-the-art healthcare infrastructure.

Architecturally stunning Petra, the salty landlocked Dead Sea, and coastal Aqaba are among the most popular sights to see in Jordan.

Shehab Al-Maaytah, Euro Jet’s new Ground Service Coordinator in Jordan, oversees every aspect of flight operations, from landing to takeoff.

“I work closely with airport authorities, coordinate ground handling, and provide superior customer service,” Shehab says. “A major part of my role is proactively addressing potential disruptions – due to adverse weather, airspace restrictions, or peak traffic – ensuring a smooth operation for all customers.”

Shehab operates from Amman’s Marka International Airport (OJAM/ADJ), a key site for general aviation, private jets, and military operations. He also manages flights at Queen Alia International Airport (OJAI/AMM), the primary gateway for international flights, and King Hussein International Airport (OJAQ/AQJ), a vital hub in Aqaba for tourism and cargo operations.

Shehab cooperates with our extensive network of service providers throughout Jordan. This network is part of Euro Jet’s Middle East operation overseen by our Business Development Manager Muhammad Asad. “All of our vendors in Jordan are dependable,” he says. “We monitor and evaluate their services to make sure they are in line with Euro Jet’s first-class standards.”

Portugal: A Prime Destination in Southern Europe

Like in Jordan, our contracted vendors in Portugal are equally crucial to Euro Jet’s one-stop-shop trip support solution, according to our Business Development Manager for Western Europe Libor Sollar. He personally met with our regional partners in Portugal’s busiest locations – Lisbon and Porto – and can attest to the superb quality of their services.

“The key benefit of collaborating with local vendors is their knowledge of the environment, airport operations, vendors, and even regional gastronomy – an often-underestimated asset,” says Libor. “Strong vendor relationships allow us to offer all-inclusive solutions throughout mainland Portugal and the islands.”

This established network of vendors in Portugal has been enhanced with the addition of our own new agent, David Lopes, who also serves as Euro Jet’s Regional General Manager. David brings a wealth of experience and seasoned relationships with local handling companies that enable him to make certain that Euro Jet comes through with seamless, reliable flight support.

“The moment customers see a Euro Jet agent, they know they will receive exceptional service,” says David. “My focus is on ensuring every operation runs smoothly and that we meet the highest standards.”

Portugal’s strategic location makes it a critical entry point for flights between the US and the EU. The country is also known for its political stability, affordable lifestyle, and investment opportunities, adding to its appeal for aviation companies and private owners alike.

David operates from Humberto Delgado Airport (LPPT/LIS) in Lisbon, a hub for diplomatic, military, private, and commercial flights. These types of flights are also common at Faro International Airport (LPFR/FAO) and Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport (LPPR/OPO) in Porto. Other important airports include:

  • Cascais Airport (LPCS/CAT) in Tires serves private, charter, and regional flights.
  • Beja Airport (LPBJ/ BYJ) sees mainly private and commercial flights.
  • Montijo Military Airport (LPMT) is exclusively for military flights.
  • On the Azores, Euro Jet also works with handlers at Lajes Airport (LPLA/TER)

From the colorful Palace of Pena in the Sintra hills to the Sete Cidades volcanic lake and Lisbon’s historic Rua Augusta Arch, Portugal is packed with iconic sights.

Euro Jet’s Network of Local Agents and Trusted Partnerships

“Our strength lies in our people,” says Tomas Chobot. “With our own local experts in both countries, backed by our global network of partners, we continue to provide top-tier services tailored to our customers’ needs.”

By continuing to explore new markets and invest in experienced on-the-ground agents and trustworthy partnerships, Euro Jet is set to deliver reliable, high-quality flight support services in Jordan, Portugal, and worldwide.
