World Nomad Games 2024: Euro Jet Ready to Support Flights to Astana, Kazakhstan This September

Euro Jet is ready to assist with flights arriving in Astana Airport (UACC/NQZ) for the 5th World Nomad Games taking place in Astana, Kazakhstan from September 8-13, 2024.

The World Nomad Games are an international sports competition based on traditional games of historically nomadic peoples of Central Asia and are included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Organized for the first time in 2014, they were held biennially in Kyrgyzstan before moving in 2022 to Turkey and now to Kazakhstan.

This year, over 3,000 athletes from more than 100 countries are expected to arrive in Astana to participate in the competition that lasts 7 days and includes 21 sport disciplines. Next to the main events of horse racing, wrestling, martial arts, archery, and hunting with birds, the Games are also accompanied by a rich cultural and scientific program.

There are no restrictions expected at the airport in relation to the Games with standard visa requirements being applicable to all arrivals. While there are plenty of accommodation options available in Astana, we do recommend finalizing your bookings as soon as possible.
